Before I went to see LaDonna in person, I already knew she was the woman who would carry my child. I had gone shopping with another friend, Niki, and we saw this kit in a quilt shop in Dallas. I had to have it for LaDonna. I knew it was perfect to give her as a thank you gift for our transfer. They didn't have it in stock, but I didn't care. I paid for it anyway and gave them my address so they could mail it to me.

I even ordered from another company the special OU college fabric for the backing. Can you believe that I had to by it from a store in New Jersey? That cracked me up, University of Oklahoma fabric in New Jersey.
