Double Irish Chain

The quilting designs were all designed by me. I drew and digitized the designs on my computer (I use Embird software to digitize.) and transferred them to my embroidery machine. The quilt got hooped over 120 times in order to get all the designs on there. It took me about 3 days to get all the stitching done. The quilt was finished in April 2007.

I have decided to call this quilt "The Naked Duck". Why?? Well, The purple fabric has feathers all over it, the white fabric has feathers all over it, and all the quilting designs are based on feathers. So with all the loose feathers on this quilt, there has to be a naked duck out there somewhere.
I had it appraised by Marcia Kaylakie of Turkey Creek Quilts, a professional textile appraiser. She gave me a written formal appraisal of $1,150.00 for this quilt. I was just floored and tickled pink at the same time.
